Common Coot (Fulica atra)

This was among a group of Coots. I waited for the others to move away as I wanted to shoot a portrait of this one. This is my best shot of the coot so far. We hardly get to see the complete coot out of water. Here you can clearly see the webbed feet.

Canon EF 500mm f/4L IS and 1.4xII on Canon 10D using Gitzo 1410 and Wimberly Head. ISO 200, 1/500 @ f6.3, Evaluative Metering -2/3 Stop.
